Sabas Soto, went to be with the Lord on January 28, 2025. Sabas was born on November 5, 1936 to Josefina and Sabas Soto in Ysleta, Texas.
Sabas Soto was a man of strength, dedication, and deep love for his family. Born with a passion for working with his hands, he pursued his education at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) before serving as an Air Force mechanic, expertly maintaining aircrafts. After his service, he channeled his skills into entrepreneurship, establishing his own diesel mechanic business in 1976 in Laredo-a testament to his hard work and determination.
A devoted father, Sabas was actively involved in his children's lives, serving as a Boy Scouts leader, a football coach, and even president of the PTA. His commitment to his family and community was unwavering, always leading by example with strength and integrity.
Fate led him to Chicago, where he met the love of his life at a Christmas party. Their love story flourished, and they shared 34 wonderful years of marriage, building a life filled with love, respect, and cherished memories.
Sabas's legacy of hard work, dedication, and love will forever be remembered by those whose lives he touched. His strength and guidance will live on in his family and all who had the honor of knowing him.
Sabas is now reunited in heaven with his loving wife, Maria Victoria Soto; his parents Sabas Soto and Josefina Soto; siblings Alfonso, Carlos, Rodolfo, Armando Soto; and sister Sara Muro.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Sabas Soto III, Elizabeth Ruiz, David Soto, Roberto Soto, Yvonne Soto; his loving grandchildren and great- grandchildren along with a host of other family and friends.
