Rickey Lee Bowers, 66, went to be with the Lord on December 4, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter. Rickey was born on May 30, 1958 in Midland, Texas to the late Raymond and Lucy Bowers.
Rickey was a family man through and through. His favorite sister, Gloria Jackson-affectionately known as "Tunt"-was his partner in crime. The two shared a special bond and always had a great time getting in trouble together. Known for his laid-back and humble nature, Rickey was the voice of reason in his family. He didn't speak often, but when he did, his words carried weight and you knew you should listen to his advice.
A devoted fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Rickey's unwavering support for his team was as steadfast as his love for BBQ and his family. He loved to cook and was good at it! If you didn't know how to cut meat, you better believe you were about to learn! He was loyal to not only his family, but to his work. He worked for Johnny's BBQ for over 37 years and took great pride in everything he did. He and Johnny shared a deep bond, and even after hours, you'd often find Rickey at the restaurant, shooting dice and sharing laughs.
A man of faith, Rickey looked forward to reuniting with his Big Momma in the afterlife. He cherished taking his family for rides around town, creating memories that will live on in their hearts.
Rickey is now reunited in heaven with his parents, Raymond and Lucy Bowers; sister Lillian Jackson and brother Raymond Bowers Jr.
