Milburn Sanders Jr

Milburn" Sugar Jr." Sanders Jr. went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2025. Milburn was born on March 4, 1945, to the late Milburn Sanders Sr. and Josie Niblett Sanders in Midland, Texas.

Milburn attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School and George Washington Carver Jr. & Sr. High School where he received his GED.

Milburn then went on to proudly serve in the United States Navy until he was honorably discharged in 1964.

Milburn's work experience was in construction and serving as an orderly at a medical facility in Amarillo, Texas.

Milburn received Christ and was baptized at an early age at Alexander Temple COGIC. He then joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and served as an usher during his time there. In 2004, Milburn married Iris Annette Hall and moved his membership to Macedonia Baptist Church. Milburn continued his service as an usher and as an ordained Deacon of the Macedonia Baptist Church where he served faithfully until his health prevented him otherwise. Milburn was also a faithful member of the Men's Sunday School Class, Baptist Training Union, Brotherhood, and the male chorus. He was dedicated to outreach ministry and was a member of the Brothers Reaching Others for Christ and Emmaus Community of Midland.

Milburn is now reunited in heaven with his grandparents Howard and Willie B. Sanders and Odell and Jessie Mae Niblett, his father Milburn Sanders Sr., his mother Josie Sanders, sisters Verna Sanders and Joye Bishop, and son Melvin Sanders.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife Iris Hall-Sanders, sisters Dora Menefield of Houston, Texas, Helen Thompson of Lubbock, Texas, Rosie Terry of Ft. Worth, Texas, son Kevin Sanders of Houston, Texas, a special friend M.J. Dinkins of Midland, Texas, and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
