Marie Britton

Marie Britton, Age 68, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 31, 2023 in Midland, TX.

Marie was born to Isiah Carden Sr. and Maurine Govan on March 10, 1955 in Fairfield, Texas. She graduated from Midland High School in 1973 and went on to pursue higher education, studying bookkeeping at Midland College and later obtaining her Certificate as a Nursing Assistant and Pharmacy Technician. Marie met and married the late Robert Ray Britton Sr. in 1974. She worked as a pharmacy technician for Midland Memorial Hospital for several years, as well as a CNA at Rockwood Manor.

Marie was not only a hard worker, but also loved to have a great time. She was known as quite the character, always enjoying a good card game or playing Bingo. She loved her family, especially her 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. She had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh, and just enjoy life.

She is preceded in death by her Father, Isiah Carden Sr.; Mother, Maurine Govan-Temple; and Brothers; Isiah Carden Jr., Jesse Carden, and Clifford "Sunny Boy" Carden.

Left to cherish her memory are her Sisters; Anna Henderson (Arnie) and Christine Manning (Guy) Daughter Monica Medearis (the late Allen Medearis) and her children Jasmine Johnson, Jayden Medearis, and Journee Lusk; Daughter Rosina Britton and her children London Burleson, and Daymond Britton; and Daughter Bridget Britton (Charles Griffith) and her children Brooklyn Warren, Braylen Griffith, and Bryce Griffith; and her great-grandaughter D'Anjaunisse Bean.
