Kendra Nicole Vollmers, cherished daughter, mother, sister and friend, went to be with her Lord on May 21, 2024. She was born on October 6, 1989, to Richard Dwayne Flournoy and Michelle Ann Vollmers.
Kendra was loyal to a fault and loved very deeply. She had a unique ability to put everyone before herself and was fiercely protective and at the same time genuinely loving. She was known to be scrappy and never minced words. Despite her tough exterior, she was soft-hearted and deeply caring. While she may have cussed you out one minute, it was always followed up with love and an apology. Her respect for her elders was unwavering, treating them with the utmost dignity and kindness.
Kendra had a zest for life and enjoyed many different things. She had a love for music, enjoying everything from jazz and R&B to classical tunes, with Mariah Carey being one of her favorites. She was an avid reader, a crime show enthusiast, and a fan of Animal Planet, delighted in learning about animals.
Kendra's generous spirit knew no bounds. She was always ready to help others, often giving what she had even if it meant going without. She deeply loved her family more than anything. She loved family vacations and spending time with her children. She had a passion for life that was contagious, and her love for home-cooked meals and joyous living was evident to all who knew her.
With a servant's heart, Kendra dedicated her time volunteering at Cook Children's Hospital and Rockwood Manor Assisted Living, always eager to offer a helping hand.
