John Willie Walker, 65, of Midland, Texas, was called home on April 12, 2024, in his hometown. Born on October 9, 1958 to John W. Walker and Willie L. Norwoord. He had a robust love for life and an uncanny ability to bring laughter and joy to those around him.
John was in the Midland Senior High School graduating class of 1977. He later dedicated the majority of his career to the oil and gas industry, showcasing his various skills and expertise in the field.
John Willie Walker is survived by his brother, Billy Ray Walker; 9 grandchildren: Izack, Jazzmin, Jaunice, Rome, Christopher, Maya, Eden, Noah, and Jashla; 3 step-children: Tiffany, Tyrone, and Terrance; and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends whose lives he deeply touched.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Willie Walker; mother, Willie Lee Walker; brother, James L. Hodge; sisters, Rosie Walker Hall and Dorothy Walker; and daughter, Christie Crouch.
John will be remembered for his contagious laughter, love for dominos, spreading liveliness wherever he went, and the positive impact he had on everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
A viewing (10-11am) and Celebration of Life Service (11am) will be held on Friday, April 19, 2024 at Hope Chapel at Mayberry Funeral Home.
