Eddie G. Adkison's journey began in Ralls, Texas, on January 18, 1960, when he was born to Edgar and Rana Adkison. His final chapter, Chapter 65, came to a close on March 5, 2025.
As a young boy, Eddie and his family relocated from Ralls, Texas, to Midland, Texas. He attended public school and formed many friendships throughout his teenage years. However, at 15, he met someone truly special-Ms. Alfredia Holmes. Eddie and Alfredia dated for four years, and he knew she was the one. On September 22, 1978, they married and began building their legacy together, sharing a life filled with love until his final breath.
Eddie's trade was as a truck driver, but his true love was repairing vehicles, he knew how to fix certain cars with his eyes closed and if he didn't know anything about a certain car, he was going to find out so he could get the issue fixed. Anyone who knew Eddie knew he was only a phone call away; he was going to always give you a few choice words, but he always came to your rescue.
Eddie lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with family and friends; Until COPD took over his life, but it didn't take away his willingness, determination, strong will, and upbeat personality; He kept fighting, until there was no more fight left in him. But now he can breathe again and walk the streets of gold with his loved ones that went before him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Rana; two Sisters Pearl Adkison and Flora Shelby; three brothers James, Gus, Edgar "JR" Adkison; Grandson Will Murry; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.
