Claudia Ann Gunter

Claudia Ann Wood Gunter of Midland, Texas went to be with the Lord on January 3,2024 at the age of 75. Claudia was born to Claudie and Martha Wood on April 28, 1948.

Claudia, or known to most as "Grandma", cherished spending time with her family; although she seemed to love the little ones the most.

She was a strong woman, raised in a house full of boys, she never shied away from hard work. Her fur baby Lucy was the most spoiled member of the family, getting her own three piece chicken meal from Church's chicken and many treats!

Claudia's days started with morning coffee with her oldest daughter Deborah to discuss the events from the day before and what they had planned for the day ahead. Late nights were spent messaging back and forth with her daughter D'Ann in California; as well as weekly conversations and check-ins on her only son Eldon. Not to mention her daily calls to Brittany. Several Calls!!

Claudia was deeply loved by her entire family and will be missed beyond words.

Claudia is reunited in Heaven with her parents Claudie and Martha Wood; brothers, Tommy, Bruce, and Preston Wood; and her great granddaughter, Essence Glover.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Eldon Crawford (Stephanie) and his children, Brant Crawford, Jeremy Crawford, Michael Crawford, ad J.C. Seamon; her daughter Deborah Ann Groebl Costilla and her children Kristian Thompson (Chad), Reginald Gilbert Jr. (#1 grand), Brittany Tabors (Terrance), Shane Gilbert (baby boy); her daughter Deborah "D-Ann" Portillo Angel and her children Vivian Ruvalcaba and Luis Ruvalcaba. She also leaves behind many beloved great grandchildren, family members, and special friends.

A memorial service will be held in the Hope Chapel at Mayberry Funeral Home on January 20, 2024 at 11:00am
