Clarieca Tabors

Clarieca "Reca" Tabors, age 71, of Midland went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 23, 2023.

Reca was born on January 5, 1952 in Midland to Clarence Gipson Sr. and Rosetta Tate Moore.

Cooking and family were Reca's two biggest loves. She cooked for a living, and cooked at home for her family and friends. She was known as the mother of the neighborhood and you knew you were always going to see Mrs. Reca at every event; whether it was baseball, kickball, or anything else that involved her children and her neighborhood. She also loved to play dominoes and listen to music.

Known as Reca or Momma to most, her great- grandkids called her Granny Lucy; a name she made up out of nowhere one day and it stuck. She was crazy about her great-great granddaughter, NuNu, and tried to teach her everything about becoming a young lady. She will greatly missed by all who knew her.

Reca is preceded in death by her Husband, Enoch Tabors Jr.; Father, Clarence Gipson Sr.; Mother, Rosetta Tate; Brother, K.T. Hudson; Sisters, Barbara Harris and Paula Thompson; and (Sister Niece) Janette Harris.

Left to cherish her memory is her Dad, Howard Moore of Marlin, Tx; Brother, Clarence Gipson of Amarillo, Tx; Sisters, Cherly Dinkins (Tom) of Anchorage Ala, and Linda Johnson of Marlin, Tx; 2 very best Sister friends, Tampa Jones (Walter) of Austin, Tx, and Vonda Thomas (Curtis) of Houston, Tx. She is also survived by Sons, Gary Gipson of Midland, Tx and Michael Tabors of Midland, Tx; Daughters, Shelia Tabors (Phil) Of Austin, Tx, and Litsandra Hawkins (Dextric) of Midland, Tx; Grandkids, Terrance Tabors (Brittney) of Midland, Tx, Devorik Gipson of Midland, Tx, Elishia Holloway of Midland, Tx, Demond Drake of Ft Worth, Tx, and Anastesia Gipson of Houston, Tx; as well as a 23 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; as well as a host of other family and friends.

A viewing and visitation will be held at Mayberry Funeral Home in Midland from 2pm-5pm on Friday, January 5, 2023. A viewing will be held on Saturday, January 6 from 9-11am, followed immediately by a Celebration of life Service to begin at 11am.
