Bridgette Yvette Dickens, age 59, of Midland went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 10, 2023.
Bridgette was born on June 5, 1964 to George and Maurine Dickens in Midland, Texas. She was a very active member of Alexander Temple COGIC in Midland.
Bridgette had a true joy for living life and was known to be a genuinely caring and devoted person. She found joy in everything and everyone. She was the easiest person to buy a gift for, because no matter what it was, that gift was special to her and brought her joy. Bridgette was devoted to her family and loved spending time with them. She also enjoyed cooking with her Dad. She had a love for traveling and was always ready for a good adventure. Bridgette was talented and creative. She was passionate about drawing, painting, and doing crafts. One of the most special events in Bridgette's life was representing Texas in the Special Olympics in Brockport, NY.
Bridgette loved the Lord and her church family with all her heart. She helped with Sunday school for many years. She enjoyed taking care of people when they needed it. Bridgette will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Preceding Bridgette in death were her parents George and Maurine Dickens; her grandparents, George and Fleter Dickens and Johnnie and Lillie Henderson; and one nephew, baby Joe.
She leaves to cherish her memory; sisters, Cheryl Hearne (Buster), Sonia Green (Richard), and Cassandra Dickens-Arrington (Jimmy); brothers, Gary Dickens (Mavis), George Dickens (Dianne), Anthony Dickens (Tangi), and Christopher Dickens (Angelica); her beloved nieces and nephews, Sovensky, Shevon, Dominique, Gary Lynn, Shayla, Alyssa, Cree, "Deuce", Shae, Jahmal, Anthony, Jr., Jasmine, and Aaliyah; as well as a host of aunts, uncles, family members, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, December, 17th from 2-6pm at Mayberry Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Alexander Temple COGIC in Midland at 11am on Monday, December 18, 2023, with interment immediately following at Resthaven North Memorial Park.
