Bobby Joe Davis

Bobby J Davis (Tree), age 82, of Midland, TX passed away September 1, 2023 to join his Lord. Bobby was born August 19, 1941 in Clarksville, TX to the late Wallace Eugene Davis, Sr. and Katherine Hearne Davis. Bobby is a graduate from Carver "Hornets" High School.

Bobby served in the US Army from 1964 to 1966 and is a Vietnam Veteran. Bobby worked as a Pump and Lease Operator for Chevron Oil Company. He retired in 1994 after 46 years of dedication. Bobby was a faithful member and usher at Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church until his health declined. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Bobby leaves to cherish his memory a son, Alton Davis; two daughters, Khristie Prince and Kimberlee Hayes; two step sons, Cary Love (Arlene) and John Love III. Also, one brother, Wallace Eugene Davis, Jr. (Virginia); two sisters, Virginia Faye Davis and Helen Robinson. He also had ten grandchildren, Eric and Jonathan Hayes, Khalik and Joslyn Prince, Jenevia, LaTricia, JeLecia Davis, CJ, Kenneth, and Josh Love; and many great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Wallace E. Davis, Sr. and Katherine H. Davis; three brothers, Calvin, AD, and Kenneth Davis.

The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation for the sympathy, love and support you have extended. Services have been entrusted to Mayberry Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held in the Hope Chapel at Mayberry Funeral Home in Midland, Texas on September 6, 2023 at 11:00am. Following the service, there will be a reception at 12:30pm at the Downtown Church of Christ (505 San Angelo Street, Midland, Texas).
