Bennie Brazell Jr., was born June 10, 1939, to the late Mattie Eva and Bennie Brazell, Sr., in Cameron, Texas. The family moved to Midland, Texas in 1947. As a child he attended and was baptized at Lee Street Church of Christ.
Bennie attended Washington Elementary School and Carver Jr.-Sr. High School in Midland, Texas.
After high school Bennie was employed with Lien Chemical Company in Midland, Texas and later the Midland Independent School District.
Bennie then moved to Ruidoso, New Mexico where he was employed by the late Jane Armstrong for over 30 years.
After retirement he moved back to Midland where he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and many close friends and family. Throughout his life he was an avid golfer, enjoyed cooking; especially his signature ribs, and he was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys Fan.
He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, two sisters, Annie Lois and Mattie Brazell, one brother, Billy Ray Brazell, two sons, Larry and Anthony Brazell, one daughter Poetry Brazell and one grandson, Braxton Wayne Bennett.
To cherish his memories he leaves one sister, Rosie Oldham of Odessa, three daughters, Pamela Brazell of Waco, and Andrea Gail Brazell, Damita Grant of Las Cruces, NM, five sons, Bennie III of Houston, Toby of Abilene, Reginald, and Ricky Brazell of Sacramento, CA, and Garvin Grant of Phoenix, AZ, fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. To further cherish his memories, our Special Family Friends, the family of the late Jane Armstrong, Elizabeth, Brad, and Tony Armstrong, and Rich Wyatt.
